A few weeks ago, I made a resolution to start eating better and exercising more. Let’s do a quick check-in on how I’m doing on that, shall we? (I should have made a resolution to stop referring to myself in the third person. Ugh.)
In the past week, I’ve run almost 3 miles (you can keep up with my progress on dailymile.com – drop me a line if you want to connect with me there). I’ve also eaten breakfast a few times this week, and actually drank a couple of glasses of orange juice as well (trust me, for me? This is HUGE). I haven’t had any soda this week, and not very much junk food (Town House butter crackers are about as bad as I’ve gotten).
So things seem to be progressing nicely – I’m eating better, but more importantly I’m actually EXERCISING. That’s a HUGE deal for me – I’ve always been such a slug when it comes to physical activity. But I have a few people following my progress (read: Ready to kick my ass if I slack on this), and that helps immensely. It also helps that my natural need to be the best has been driving me to keep going, but we’ll talk about my psychoses another day).
So, not to shabby on this end. What about you? Have you been sticking to your resolution to exercise, eat better, stop smoking, or what-have-you? Need me to give you a kick in the ass to get going? Hey, I’m glad to do it – it’s what I’m here for.
What can I say, I’m a giver.
