‘Twas the night before Christmas…

1246409_christmas_backgroundSo here we are…. One more “sleep” and then it’s Christmas. The Bunker Monkey has been THIS CLOSE to exploding, he wants his gifts SO BAD MOM PLEASE CAN I HAVE JUST ONE MOM MOM MOM MOOOOOOM!!!

Ah, Christmas.

Seriously though, he’s not too bad. I’ve been able to distract him with crafts, movies, promises of gingerbread, and video games on the iPod Touch (we don’t own a game system, and never will, so this is as close to it as he’s going to ever get). Meanwhile, I’ve been busy making Christmas cookies (thanks, Veronica!) – one batch down (well, in the fridge until tomorrow) and two more to go. Tonight is the big Smith family party; lots of people running around, lots of food, and LOTS of alcohol (which, along with the cookies, is really the best way to go through Christmas if you ask me). Bunker hubby is out finishing up some errands. (Basically, hunting down the last can of pumpkin in the tri-state area. Organic pumpkin at $2.50 for 15 ounces, here we come!)

Anyway, this is just a quick holiday note to tell wish you all a Merry Christmas, and to let you know that even though Thanksgiving is more traditionally the holiday of giving thanks, I am more thankful than you could know for each and every one of you. Thank you for visiting this little site of mine, for faithfully (or even sporadically) reading my words, and for being the absolutely most awesomest readers a girl could ask for.

Merry Christmas!
