1058867_blue_tunnelI haven’t done a “getting to know you”-type post in a while, so I thought I’d throw one up on the blog today. This one was inspired by a conversation I had with someone a couple of nights ago on Twitter about margaritas and tequila:

  1. I hate the taste and smell of tequila.
  2. I’ve only ever had Jose Cuervo tequila.
  3. I’ve never had Grand Marnier or Cointreau.
  4. It takes me a full hour to peel a pomegranate (I’ve timed it).
  5. I regularly go weeks in the wintertime without shaving my legs.
  6. I don’t really like dogs very much.
  7. I don’t like grape-flavored anything (but I do like grape jelly and grape soda).
  8. I also don’t like peanut butter in anything but a sandwich.
  9. I’ve never had a twinkie.
  10. I’ve never had Cap’n Crunch cereal.
  11. I’ve never had a corndog.
  12. I like making people uncomfortable, because it usually means I’m challenging their preconceptions.
  13. I don’t like being wrong. Ever.
  14. I’ve never owned (or even driven) a new car.
  15. My self-esteem is very much tied to my appearance, or rather to what I think is other people’s opinion of my appearance.
  16. Paul Mitchell’s Thicken Up volumizing gel is the only thing I’ve ever found that keeps my hair from getting frizzy.
  17. I don’t get football – it’s the only sport whose rules I just can’t wrap my brain around.
  18. I’m not one of those “count your blessings” people; I’m too much of a pessimist for that.
  19. I’ve recently noticed my son starting to look and act like the person he’s going to be someday, and it makes me sad.
  20. I love shopping – especially during crazy times, like Black Friday. I know, insane.

So there you go – now you know a little bit more about me. Sorry you asked, aren’t you?

# 13 – I hope you don’t have to experience that. So far, so good, right?!

# 15 – Can we just say “belly dancer” and leave it at that? ;-)
