I’m not sure if any of my readers are planning on going to the Blogher conference. I’ll be there (well, I really have no excuse, as I live 3 hours north), hopefully with the Bunker Hubby (though not the Bunker Monkey; that weekend will be just for the grown-ups!).I hope some of you can make it; I’d love to meet my fellow blogging moms (and dads, what the hell)!
On that note, I was listening to Secondhand Karl’s radio show, and somehow we got onto the topic of tattoos (yes, that’s my tattoo there in the photo; it’s actually on my right shoulder, but for some reason my Macbook camera flips everything). Why Mom Drinks Rum and I came to the conclusion that, to honor the spirit of Blogher 2010, she and I and any other bloggers (male or female) who want to, will go get tattoos while at Blogger 2010.
So here’s the deal. If you are planning to be at Blogher 2010 in New York City, and would like to join us in getting some ink, post a comment here and let us know who you are. I’ll be coordinating the outing, including finding the tat shop (so we definitely need to know how many people will be coming so we can give the shop a heads up) and coordinating the outing itself the day of. I’ll be getting a rather small one to commemorate my son, which I’ve been meaning to do for years now anyway. Hey, don’t you call me a pussy; that tat up there took NINETY MINUTES and hurt like a bitch. So I’ve earned my big-girl tat pants.
